Being Online Autobiography

I grew up in a time where most technology was availabe. I did get to witness the spawn of c.d.s, cell phones, and the internet as well as the death of cassette tapes and vhs. My very first memories of using the web begin after high school, I graduated in 1998. I remember how slow it was but it was not frustrating like it is today because it was brand new technology. We only had dial up then. For the next few years I used it as a way to keep in touch with friends, I owe much of my quick typing skills to the countless late night instant messaging. Eventually I discovered ebay and other ways to shop online. Today I do have a facebook as well as myspace account but rarely use them and mostly use the web to pay bills, for school work, or random times I need information for something. I do not write on the web very often as I like to keep a great deal of my life private, at least from the whole world. Overall I like the internet, I find it very useful especially for school and work.
